Federal Advisory Council on Occupational Safety and Health Meets on October 19

The public is invited to participate in the virtual meeting, which will cover best practices and regulatory updates.

OSHA announced the next Federal Advisory Council on Occupational Safety and Health (FACOSH) meeting is set for Oct. 19, 2023, exploring how to enhance worker safety measures. The agency is currently accepting comments and requests to speak until Sept. 29.

According to the Federal Register Notice, this virtual gathering—slated to run from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. ET.—will be available to attend for members and the public via Webex. The meeting’s focus is on updates from the FACOSH’s subcommittee, insights on how to better apply federal reports, OSHA’s regulatory updates, and a presentation on new construction safety helmets.

FACOSH advises the Secretary of Labor on all matters relating to the occupational safety and health of federal employees, including how to address injuries and illnesses in the federal workforce and the implementation of OSH programs throughout each federal agency.
