OSHA has scheduled a free webinar on its Beat the Heat contest.
Set for noon Eastern on May 16, the webinar will include an overview of the contest and its rules, as well as information on important dates, deadlines, and judging criteria. OSHA personnel will also answer attendees’ questions.
Designed to create awareness among workers and employers about hazardous heat in the workplace, the contest is aimed at finding “the most innovative and effective communication strategies and methods.”
OSHA adds that “entrants can design a heat awareness logo, create an informational booklet or brochure, develop a training curriculum, or make an informational video of the hazards of heat in the workplace.
Winning entries will be displayed on OSHA’s website and featured in agency newsletters. The winners will receive a letter of appreciation from agency administrator Doug Parker, a “Beat the Heat” challenge coin, and a congratulatory certificate.
