Safe + Sound Week Focus - Mental Health, Well-being at Work

Registration is open for the seventh annual Safe + Sound Week, slated for Aug. 7-13.

The national initiative is intended to help promote awareness and understanding of workplace safety and health programs and is a collaborative effort between OSHA, NIOSH, and a coalition of safety organizations – including the National Safety Council.

This year’s event will focus on providing employers with resources on mental health and well-being “because we recognize that workplace safety and health extends beyond physical hazards,” an OSHA press release states.

Registration is available online. The agency’s website includes an archive to help employers identify activities and plan their Safe + Sound events.

More than 3,300 employers participated in last year’s event, according to OSHA.
